Hsieh-Cheng Lai, Senior Attorney

Attorney Hsieh-Cheng Lai graduated from the School of Law, Soochow University in 2009. After completing his mandatory military service, he was admitted to the Graduate Institute of Financial and Economic Law at Soochow University, where he pursued in-depth studies in corporate law and financial law. He obtained his Master's degree in 2012 and passed the Taiwan Bar Examination in the same year.
In 2014, Attorney Lai joined the Direction IP Group, where he handled a wide range of domestic civil, criminal, and administrative litigation matters, as well as commercial non-litigation services. He is committed to applying his legal expertise to assist clients in resolving disputes in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. Through extensive litigation experience, Attorney Lai has developed a strong belief that “contracts constitute the law between the parties.” He emphasizes that well-planned and carefully drafted contracts at the outset can significantly reduce transaction costs arising from performance disputes and ultimately create win-win outcomes for all parties involved.
